Kamal bookstore is a shop that supplies medical, nursing and pharmacy text book and medical instruments. In fact, many medical textbooks are not available in big and famous bookstores, even Popular, MPH and Kinokuniya. However, surprisingly those "rare" medical textbooks are available in a small bookstore - Kamal Bookstore. In other words, you can only find those "rare" medical textbooks in 2 places in whole Malaysia:



1) Kamal Bookstore
2) Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM)

Legacy textbooks in Kamal Bookstore
Many lecturer will recommend medical, nursing or pharmaceutical students to these 2 places to buy textbooks and medical instruments. Moreover, there are a lot of legacy medical books are ONLY available in Kamal Bookstore.

Surprise? Such a small bookstore contains so many books that are not available in other places. Ya I was surprised with it also. Anyway I could say Kamal Bookstore is awesome! It is a good place to shop for medical book and medical instruments.

However, Since Kamal Bookstore is just a small book shop with high demand, the books at there are always out of stocks. So I would recommend you to contact them before you go. Their information is as below:

    They aren't efficient in replying emails. I emailed them like one month ago and till now they don't respond to my emails. I bought diagnostic set but the opthalmoscope was damaged. Yeah, they don't even response at all.

    If you want to ask if a book is available, call them and they will ask you about the book's title and they will request you to call them back around 10 minutes later cause they need to check for the book first.
    don't send email. They might not respond or should I say, they don't respond to emails at all. Just call them they are ok with answering phone calls but takes longer time since the people in bookstore is quite busy.
    Also, they do postage so if you're not from KL you can ask them to deliver to ur place.
    I love their service. :)
